Exam 3 grades will be posted on May 2nd & Final Grades will be available on the same day through ISIS.

The 3 Exams will determine 75% of your grade (each exam is worth 25%).

 

 

Out of three quizzes the lowest one will be dropped. So the 2 quizzes will be worth 25% of your grade (each quiz is worth 12.5%).

 

 

All the exams and quizzes will be given in the class. The questions will not be multiple choice type. Formula sheet and relevant distribution tables will be provided. Please bring your own calculator.

 

Course Outline:

Review: Introduction to Statistics I (Basic probability concepts, random variables, sampling distributions, central limit

theorem. Large and small sample confidence intervals and significance tests for parameters associated with a single population

and for comparison of two populations.)

 

Concepts from STA 2023 will be reviewed as needed. Introduction to Statistics II focuses on the following topics:

·        An introduction to the analysis of variance.

·        Simple and multiple linear regression methods with applications.

·        Analysis of count data: chi-square and contingency tables.

·        Nonparametric statistical methods and applications.

·        Logistic Regression.
